The Reis Magos Fort is an absolute must-see for most visitors to Goa. Located in Bardez, the fort has evolved from being a defense fortress in 1493, to a jail and then a hospital, and today has been restored to it’s former glory. The restoration work carried out is widely acknowledged as being quite magnificent.

The Reis Magos Fort has been open to the public since June 2012. It has a craft center, and has hosted exhibitions, art activities for children and events such as the Freedom Jam. The oldest fort in Goa, it is now a Cultural and Heritage Center.
