Goa is many things to many people – from the swaying palms to the sun kissed beaches; from the spectacular sunsets to the lush terrain; from the ancient churches to the luxury villas. But few people know of Goa’s tribute to contemporary art – the Museum of Goa.

MOG is a privately owned art gallery at Bardez, not far from Calangute. It endeavors to give people from all walks of life, access to art. It brings together artists and art enthusiasts; students and educators; collectors and curators. To name just a few.

A rich repository of ideas and creativity, MOG provides a platform for all manner of art forms – sculpture, painting, design, music, photography, theater, installations, poetry, and moving images. And is always open to new concepts in creativity.

Spread across a 1500 square meter space, MOG is the largest private art space in India. And has already made its mark in the international art scenario. It has been designed to host workshops, exhibitions, lectures, residencies, art courses and so much more. And to provide a forum for international and Indian artists to interact and exchange ideas and concepts.

A three-storied structure, MOG has been designed by the reputed architect, Dean D’Cruz. Strategically positioned between forest land on one side and industries on the other, it offers a view of both worlds. An amalgam of the natural and the man-made.

This contemporary art facility houses an Art Store, café, galleries, an auditorium and studios for artists. Creating an environment that fosters the evolution of contemporary art and culture. And in keeping with its philosophy of sharing with all who wish to experience art, MOG ensures accessibility for the physically challenged with ramps, wheelchair access and elevators on every floor.

The Museum of Goa embodies all that Goa represents – art, culture and sharing in the spirit of harmony. For people from everywhere.
